This exam is offered to those who are already OB Technician, or the equivalent thereof, with at least six (6) months of clinical experience. Proper documentation of this experience is required. Provide proof of eligibility by emailing to info@nhocert.com. A Certified OB Technician certification will be awarded to those who successfully pass the exam. You will be able to print your certification after successful exam.

The exam will cover the following topics:

Maternity Nursing

Assisting with Patient Care inside and outside of the OR

Surgical Instruments

Operating Room Technique

General charting

Provides an in depth review of maternity on a Registered Nurse's level to the OB Technician, as the OB Tech reports to and works directly with the RN in this position.

Each certification exam is 100 questions with a passing score of 70 or greater. A time limit of 3 hours is allowed. The exam is taken on our website with your login information provided at registration. It may be taken at your convenience 24/7. Your score is provided at the completion of the exam. Only one attempt per payment. Certificate will be printed from the website.

The exam cost is $150 per attempt.
